Nothing but problems

Noisy Washer 11/23/2019

My washing machine was only about three months old when the noise started. I've had five visits over two months from a technician and they can't fix this. They have replaced the drum, one other part, and attempted twice to replace the sator but both times the plug on the replacement sator does not fit into the plug on the board in the machine. I've called Maytag service a few times and all they can do is rely on what the technician has to say. If they are able to fix it they say we need to fix it. I find it very hard to believe that all the additional vibration (please watch the video) is not causing other issues that will arise in month 13 after the manufacturer's warranty expires. Maytag, it is time to stand behind your product and work with me to get this replaced!

I have noticed 2 times that I set my washing machine to wash, the machine went through the cycle but when it was complete, the clothes were still dry as the machine didn't add water or wash.

So far so good!

Have only had my washer for a week but I am already pleased with the new one. I have to check to see if it is off and if I leave the laundry door open it doesn't matter it is so quiet. The washer I replaced was not even 3 years old had an odor when washing and sounded like it was ready to take flight! This is one awesome machine. The clothes look great and so far I'm hoping all continues as it is!

6 Months Old and Out of Service Again

Bought 6630 as a washer and dryer set and I am about to call Maytag service for the 2nd time. First time mother board and front panel LCD stopped working and the washer was OOS for 14 days while we waited for parts. Now the washer is cycling through the soil cycle. I wish I could upload the video but can't. This means another call to Maytag and hopefully we won't be down for too long this time. Also the dryer makes a horrible racket that the tech thought was a cracked fan blade but when they took a look everything seemed fine. I wish we had stuck with our Samsung W&D that gave us years of trouble free service.

Seemed like a great appliance until...

Bought all new appliances for a new house. Kitchen and laundry. Washer leaked with second use. Third party company came out to fix via warranty. Took 2 visits and 2 parts, then finally a different tech to find a broken drum. Yes protocol is to fix until unfixable....but to fix a $1000 brand new appliance? Nah. Multiple calls to maytag and 2 months later a replacement. Also have to add...this washer is very loud. Some spin cycles sound like an air jet is in my laundry room. But it does spin the water out pretty good. Not a complete fail Maytag...just based on first impressions and bad experiences with a new product.

Love the Fresh Hold Option

We had to replace our Whirlpool machines that have worn out and didn't owe us a thing. Many years of clean clothes. It was tough to decide which brand to go with because we really liked our Whirlpool appliances. After seeing the features of this pair, we chose them. No regrets. We are super happy with all the features and really love the fresh hold feature which enables a fan to create airflow into the washer so clothes stay fresh until you place them in the dryer.

First front loader!

We have had our new laundry pair for about a month now and I'm very pleased with them! We had our original pair from Maytag for almost 30 years and we're a little reluctant to go for a front load machine. I'm happy to say I don't regret the decision to purchase this new pair. We have only had it a couple of weeks so I am still learning how to use but it has worked great so far. I do wish it had a rinse/spin setting (unless I just haven't found it) and it is not as quiet as previous Maytag washer which is why 4 stars. I work with the homeless and my clothes are exposed to street dirt, germs, diseases, and biohazard. I needed a washer that can sanitize my uniforms. The kids get ground in dirt, and it's Texas, so throw in some barbeque sauce, hot grease spots, a whole lot of sweat, wet bathing suits, towels and two dogs. I purchased this particular Maytag washer because it supposedly had commercial cleaning qualities. The first load I washed without using the heavy duty cycle. All the grime was gone including the previous spots of embedded dirt. I used the sanitizer cycle on my uniforms and they smelled really fresh. The whites were impressively white. The comforters got a notice from the kids on the fresh smell. There is a twenty minute cycle I can use for small light loads, or that "I need to have this clean right now". After a month, I'm satisfied that this is a washer that can deliver what it said it could do. Job Well Done Maytag!

Solid Washer

We bought this washer due to its very high rating in Consumer Reports. So far it has been a pretty good unit. Only some small problems with it not properly running a spin/drain cycle, but I think it is from unbalanced loads. Usually if you put it on a rinse and spin cycle it will finish just fine. The Fresh-Hold feature is nice for doing laundry and being able to leave it in the washer overnight or during the day. No complaints with the quality of washing...everything seems to come out nice and clean and the cycles are pretty quick as well. It is louder than the unit we replaced (Samsung), so that we aren't crazy about. You couldn't hear the Samsung at all...this one you can certainly tell it is running. It also has a squeak every now and then.

Power Washer

I've been using this washer since taking delivery 1 1/2 weeks ago. So far I'm pleased with the functions. The color and appearance of this Maytag duo is beautiful. This duo was purchased to replace another brand name that was not cheap when purchased but required several service calls. I wanted to make sure the replacement for them was American made. Purchased this machine may 30,2019 as a matched pair. First the Dryer rattled so loud you could not hear your self think. After three visits by the repair man they finally determined the dryer had been assembled incorrectly at the factory. Then the washer started not spinning on certain cycles I have now had the service man out 3 times and had the door lock mechanism replaced and still it does not work. Days lost waiting for service to show up and a washer less than 6 months old still not working properly. I owned a Maytag Neptune for 20 years and only had one service call in 20 years and it was still running strong when I moved. Needless to say this Washer is a Huge disappointment. What has happened to Maytag SO Disappointed.

Not a good experience

This has been the worst experience for us. In less than two months, we've had our brand new Maytag Washer replaced once and now we're waiting for the repairman to arrive this Monday. This repair is for the second washer. To make matters worse the customer service rep had to remind us that there may be a deductible of $99 if the washer needs to be repaired! How can a washer that was delivered 9-21-19 already be broken? Just to inform those of you out there that may have purchased a Maytag washer recently. The washer should not make noise when it is operating. There should not be loud squeaking like the unit is going to fall off the pedestal. The washer should complete the spin cycle and the clothes should ready for the dryer and not soaked with water. The washer should complete the full cycle after you press the start button. This washer has been very disappointing. In fact, the entire experience has been disappointing. We should not be on our second Maytag washer in less than two months since the time of delivery. Now we're in a situation where it may need to be repaired in less than two weeks since receiving the replacement washer! I honestly cannot recommend the Maytag washer until this entire situation is resolved to our satisfaction.
